Green Menace: Emerald Ash Borer Comes To Rensselaer County

Emerald Ash Borer, an insect which has devastated ash trees in several states, was discovered in a trap in Rensselaer County in 2013. The arrival of this pest is drastically changing woodlands, parks, city streets and home landscapes. Learn how to identify the vulnerable ash trees and what can be done in response. Leader David Chinery is the horticulture educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County.

Class starts at 7:00 PM and runs until about 8:15 PM. Pre-registration is required. Each class is $6.00 per person. Class size is limited. Registration at the door will only be accepted if space is available. Class may be cancelled due to insufficient registration. Classes may also be cancelled for inclement weather.
